Left and Rights on purchase day. Left and rights 4 days later after changing drag bars and risers for flat track bars, trading low shocks for stock, moving foward controls back to mid.
Design thoughts, I dig the weird aluminum eyebrow. Reminds me of early 70's sportsters before it was ok for dentists to ride Harleys. I vote keep it. I really like the new bars, very comfortable, as opposed to that abomination of a seat. My flat chunk of fiberglass is more comfortable. The rear fender was acceptable with the low shocks, but now it sucks. Kind of torn on the air cleaner, I know the ram-air intake manifolds are racier, but it runs really nice right now. Maybe just a much smaller/cooler aircleaner cover? Same thing with the pipes, black slash cut straight pipes are pretty cliche, but it runs and sounds great right now so I wouldn't mess with them much. At least not until the Triumph is running.

ReplyDeleteI'm for sure going with Kenny on pipes/ac.
ReplyDeleteRear fender's gotta go, as you know (so does the front!).
I think you've got some pretty good ideas of your own...

Now that I think about the aluminum peice a bit more it kind of resembles a monobrow, run with that, kind of a Caveman/Voxx thing.
ReplyDeleteTime for the angle grinder and cutoff wheel.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin'...
