Bike took a step backwards. I've been fighting the effects of fuel additives on the fiberglass tank for awhile. Came out of work yesterday, and in the 90+ temps the little tank finally gave up the ghost. The top caved in like someone had punched it, and gas was bubbling out through a crack in the top of the tank. Back to stock, for now...
Do you have a photo of the carnage?
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your tank Garrett. Guess it's better to go with an aluminum XR style tank ? Funny thing, me and Gene just saw an alum XR tank on a chopper yesterday at a bike nite, the guy said he picked it up at a swap meet for just a couple hundred $$$.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ralph. It was a sad day indeed.
